Central Florida (Orlando) is seeing massive growth in the youth lacrosse league. Many of the teams that participate have full rosters & are now creating A/B teams. Some of the team options here in Orlando are (WOC Outlaws, Winter Park, Swarm, Stags, Lake Mary, Bats). New programs are joining the league & making it competitive!
Lacrosse has been dominated by Northeast states for the last 20-30 years (New York, Maryland, Connecticut, Virginia). These Northeast states produce some of the most dynamic players that make up the majority of D1 college lacrosse. Times are changing though! Florida lacrosse is growing at a very fast pace. Many younger kids are in need of a spring sport to stay in shape & are finding lacrosse.
